As it goes with information on the internet I want you to be aware that this is my personal blog. While I do bring my experiences and knowledge as Registered Nurse to my writing, nothing said here should be taken as specific medical advice. These are merely my opinions and exploration of current practices and research at the time of writing. My writings and thoughts in no way represent that of my current employer or my licensing body CARNA.
All the content provided in this blog is for informational purposes only. Please do your own research. Each hospital, doctor, nurse and family are individualized in their practises and the policies they must adhere to. The information presented here is only for consideration and is not always a possibility.
While my work also inspires my writing I am careful to respect the privacy of the families, doctors and nurses I work with. Sometimes details not important to the story will be changed to protect both their identity and mine.
I enjoy comments and hearing the experiences of other nurses and moms, that being said I will not tolerate any shaming or judgement for people’s choices. We can never know what goes into a person’s decision-making process. Any medical claim should be linked to research that supports them.
I am for women making empowered, informed decisions for themselves and will make every effort to uphold that in this space.
Lastly, any pictures that are used are either considered to be creative commons, purchased by me, or taken by me. I make every effort to make sure my photography is obtained legally if there is a picture that seems to violate this please contact me and I will remedy the situation.
